Car parts retailers are increasingly making their mark on the online marketplace, with a growing number of retailers offering the popular parts-and-accessories marketplace.
And it’s not just eBay, either.
The list includes a few large players like Amazon, Target and Staples.
For instance, online retailer CarBuddy recently added its own online store, carpart-and–accessories-purchasing.com, to cater to the car parts industry.
In a recent story, the site said the site was designed to help consumers find car parts, but it also offers a marketplace for sellers who want to sell the parts directly.
“We are a part of a larger global marketplace, and that marketplace includes all the retailers listed above,” the company wrote in an email.
Amazon, meanwhile, has expanded its reach by adding its own automotive-parts store, Amazon’s CarParts.com.
This site has been available since 2014, but Amazon has also expanded its offerings.
The site offers both a full-service auto parts catalog and a dedicated online store for customers who are looking to buy parts directly from Amazon.com’s online retail platform.
The company has also been adding new categories to its site.
For example, it added a section for auto parts for the BMW i3, the Subaru WRX STI, and the Nissan Leaf.
The retailer has been expanding its inventory in recent months, adding more than 100 new products to its inventory.
Amazon says it plans to add more categories to the site in the future, including auto parts, furniture, and clothing.
